freshergo case study

freshergo

freshergo is a job board for entry-level tech roles, live at freshergo.com.

the problem

pulling entry-level tech jobs from company career pages sounds simple until you do it. the list fills up with mid-level roles, sales roles, and postings that have already expired. the board stops being trustworthy, and the applicant ends up doing the filtering by hand.

what it does

freshergo carries 450+ verified entry-level tech jobs from 85+ companies, pulled from official Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby career pages and updated daily. there is search, saved roles, and weekly email alerts. it is free, and there is no spam.

how it works

a scheduled pipeline pulls from official ATS endpoints, dedupes, writes to a database, and the site serves from Cloudflare. syncs batch the ATS sources, dedupe postings across boards, and upsert in chunks. job deactivation updates are chunked too, to stay inside D1’s parameter limit. email delivery is Cloudflare-first, behind a hard verification gate, and the site runs on Cloudflare Workers.

the hard part

the hard part was relevance, not scraping. the board used to list mid-level roles, sales roles, and expired postings as fresher jobs, and a list like that is hard to trust. a commit titled “stop listing mid-level, sales, and expired jobs as fresher roles” marks the change: fresher roles on the board are entry-level tech roles, and expired postings come down.
